The Vorwerk, or Vorwerkhuhn, is a rare, dual-purpose German breed of chicken created by Oskar Vorwerk. Due to its similar belted plumage, the Vorwerk is often incorrectly nicknamed the Golden Lakenvelder, although it is a separate breed. This breed shares a name with a German brand of vacuum cleaner, but has no relation to it. The Vorwerk comes in both bantam and large fowl sizes.
