Chick is a term for a juvenile chicken, often used to only encompass those that are under six months of age, but can be used to describe any immature chicken.

Contrary to what is usually seen in mainstream media, chicks are not all yellow, and have many different color variations, depending on the breed. The most common colors that chicks can come in are white, yellow, black-and-white, chipmunk, red, gray, yellow-and-gray, and many more. In some breeds, chicks can be tri-colored; an example of this would be the Golden Sebright, where juveniles have a black body, white chest, and golden face.
